Happy Birthday Rebekah!

Mmmm...Sweet Corn

Usually, every year we can sweet corn on Daddy's birthday, but this year we had to wait until August 14th. We spend most of the day at Grandma Jackson's shucking it, cleaning it, eating doughnuts, boiling it, cooling it (which is my favorite part), playing outside, eating it, cutting it off the cob, bagging it, and then daddy & all the kids have a water fight. This year, Brad brought over his golf cart and gave everyone rides. We have a lot of fun and I love Sweet Corn (as you can tell)!!

A Little Putt-Putt

After the afternoon at the zoo, we went just down the street to a miniture golf place. It was my first time golfing, and I started out playing with a club that was just a little taller than me. Well, we put it back because I hit myself in the head with it twice before we even made it to the first hole! Mom & Dad decided I would be better off just throwing my ball around and rolling it down the greens. I had soo much fun doing that! I even tried throwing it in the water...good thing golf balls float!

 

Trip to the Zoo

The next day in IA, the 3 of us went to the zoo nearby. It was a really hot day, but the zoo was really nice and just the right size. There were lots of animals - my favorite this time was probably the tiger that kept coming out to see me. They had a petting zoo, a playground, and a seal show which was pretty neat - I've never seen those before.
